  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare an 8-inch round cake pan with grease and parchment paper.
  2. Soak the mixed dried fruits in orange juice for at least one hour.
  3. Cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
