  • 20 dates
  • 250 g turkey bacon (diced)
  • 40 g walnuts (roughly chopped)
  • 250 g goats cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp rosemary (finely diced)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 orange zest
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C / 350 degrees F.
  2. Carefully slice each date lengthwise and remove the seed.
  3. In a cold pan, cook diced turkey bacon on high heat for about 3 minutes. Add walnuts, rosemary, maple syrup, and brown sugar; cook until crispy.
  4. Blend goats cheese with olive oil, salt, pepper, and orange zest in a food processor until smooth.
  5. Stuff each date with the cheese mixture and top with the bacon-walnut mix.
  6. Place on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes until warmed through.
