  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, soak chopped dates in boiling water mixed with baking soda for about 10 minutes.
  3. Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and orange zest.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
