  • 200g (7 oz) fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 250g (9 oz) shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot, add fettuccine or linguine, and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté shrimp: In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika; sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from heat.
  3. Make sauce: In the same skillet, melt another tbsp of butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually mix in parmesan until melted; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine: Add cooked pasta to the sauce in the skillet and toss to coat evenly. Fold in sautéed shrimp.
  5. Serve: Plate the pasta with steamed broccoli and toasted garlic bread. Garnish with parsley or extra cheese if desired.
