Cranberry and Brie Filo Crackers are a delightful combination of sweet and savory, perfect for holiday gatherings or casual get-togethers. These bite-sized treats feature flaky filo pastry filled with creamy brie cheese and tangy cranberry sauce, topped with crunchy almond flakes.   • 6 sheets frozen filo pastry (thawed)
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 250 g brie cheese (cut into long slices)
  • 275 g cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup flaked almonds
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 C / 350 F and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. On a flat surface, divide thawed filo sheets into three long strips; cut each strip in half widthwise for a total of 36 squares.
  3. Place one square on the surface, brush with melted butter, add a slice of brie, a teaspoon of cranberry sauce, and some almond flakes at one end. Roll tightly and pinch ends to seal. Repeat until all squares are filled.
  4. Arrange assembled crackers on baking trays, brush with remaining butter, sprinkle with black sesame seeds, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before garnishing with fresh herbs for serving.
